CHILDREN’S WORKSHOPS

Hands-on workshops that allow children to apply a variety of educational concepts around oral history.

Engage > Learn With Us > Workshops

We offer customisable workshops for a variety of age groups, which foster a deeper understanding of historical research and heritage preservation.

Previous Workshops:

You Can Be A Historian

American School of Bombay, Grade 7

A workshop introducing students to the historian’s process — using archival material and examples to encourage them to investigate their own family histories. The workshop fosters curiosity and the spirit of inquiry to enable students to communicate their findings to the class.

Republic Day And The Constitution

Green Acres School, Grades 3–8

A workshop that utilises archival materials to teach students about the history of Republic Day, the drafting of the Constitution, and the continuing importance of the holiday in the present day. Children are then empowered to become “citizen archivists”, and share stories from their own families that reflect the importance of the holiday.

Reach out to us if you would like to customise a workshop for your students’ needs.

The archive offers opportunities to engage with our stories and material collection whether you’re a young student or an adult with a passion for history. We conduct talks, lectures, workshops, and seminars for learners of all ages. Get in touch if you’re a school, college, organisation, or individual who would like to set up a learning programme for your cohort in person or online.
